Apple Cinnamon whole wheat Eggless cake

INGREDIENTS:

DRY
APPLE-1 WHOLE,GRATED AND PEELED
WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR-1 CUP
BAKING SODA-1TSP
BAKING POWDER-1 TSP
CINNAMON POWDER-1 TSP
LIGHT BROWN SUGAR OR REGULAR GRANULATED SUGAR -3/4 CUPS
A PINCH OF SALT
VEGETABLE OIL-1/4 CUP

WET
WATER-1/2 CUP
MILK-1/2 CUP
7 INCH GREASED AND FLOUR DUSTED BAKING PAN

METHOD:

In a non stick pan, on low flame add apple ( grated ) and sugar. And cook till all the sugar melt and a nice thick sauce consistency mixture is formed. Once done, let it cool.

In a separate bowl sieve together flour, baking powder,baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sieve at least 3 times, as this is an eggless preparation this will aerate the flour.

In a separate bowl add oil and apple sauce and whisk them well till a homogeneous mixture is formed.
Once done, add half flour and milk  to oil and apple sauce mix.
Repeat till all the flour and milk is mixed. Stir it well many times. You don’t need an electric mixer , hands will work fine too.

Ensure the batter is neither too thick nor too runny.
you can also add chopped nuts, fresh apple or raisins if you wish.
Pour the batter in a greased and flour dusted baking pan and set it properly.

Bake the cake in a pre heated oven at 400 degree F for 30 to 35 minutes.
Once done let it cool a little, then loosen the edges and take it out from Baking pan.

Place it on a cooling rack and let it cool for 20 minutes. Cut in desired shapes and serve !
